1. Who we are

Econoglance is operated by Shaheer Shahid Malik ("Econoglance", "we", "us", "our"). We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Econoglance service.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, login credentials, profile information.
  • Workspace data: subscriptions, vendors, costs, notes, and other content you add.
  • Support data: messages you send to us and related metadata.
  • Usage and device data: pages visited, actions taken, IP address, browser type, device identifiers, log timestamps.
  • Cookies: essential cookies for authentication and session management.

3. Why we use it

  • To create and manage your account and workspace.
  • To provide and improve the service, including AI-powered insights.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To send service-related communications (and, with consent, marketing emails).

4. Legal bases

We process personal data on the basis of (a) performance of our contract with you, (b) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, (c) your consent where required, and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

5. Who we share data with

  • Service providers / subprocessors (hosting, analytics, customer support tooling).
  • Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record, who handles all payments, subscription management, tax, and invoicing. Paddle's privacy notice is available at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law.

6. International transfers

Where personal data leaves your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

7. Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When no longer required, data is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and row-level security, to protect personal data.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies.
