EconoGlance is a tool to help you split and track shared expenses. It does not move money — you settle up outside the app. Pro is an optional store subscription. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan and written to comply with Apple and Google requirements.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Shaheer Shahid Malik, an individual developer based in Lahore, Pakistan ("EconoGlance", "we", "us"), and govern your use of the EconoGlance app and website. By creating an account or using EconoGlance, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and EULA.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher, to use EconoGlance. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian. You must be an adult in your country to purchase EconoGlance Pro.

2. What EconoGlance is (and is not)

EconoGlance is a tool that helps you record shared expenses, split them, track balances, and note settlements between people in a group.

EconoGlance is not a bank, a payment processor, a money transmitter, an escrow service, or a financial adviser. It does not move, hold, or transfer money between you and anyone else. When you "settle up", you record a payment that you make outside the app. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the expenses you enter, the amounts you agree with others, and the payments you actually make.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method (your email account and any password) secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

4. Acceptable use

When using EconoGlance, you agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use the app to facilitate anything illegal.
  • Upload content that infringes others' rights, or that is unlawful, harmful or abusive.
  • Add another person's personal data without a lawful basis to do so.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or copy the app except as allowed by law.
  • Attempt to disrupt the service, access data that is not yours, or scrape it.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the expenses, photos and other content you add. You grant us the limited licence we need to host, process and sync that content so the app works for you and your groups. You are responsible for the content you add, including any information about other people, and you confirm you have the right to add it.

6. Subscriptions and payments

EconoGlance is free to start. EconoGlance Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks features such as AI receipt scanning, spending analytics and unlimited daily expenses.

  • Pro is billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You manage or cancel the subscription in your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings, not inside the app.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If a price changes, we will give notice as required by the store.

7. App stores

You obtain the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and your use is also subject to their terms and usage rules. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of our EULA and may enforce it. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or for support, warranties or claims relating to it, as further described in the EULA.

8. Disclaimers

EconoGlance is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, and nothing in the app is financial, tax or legal advice. Calculations are provided to help you, but you are responsible for verifying amounts before you rely on or settle them.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or money arising from expenses, splits or settlements you record or make. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and mandatory consumer rights in your country are not affected.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against reasonable claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these Terms, or content you add in violation of someone else's rights or the law.

11. Termination

You can stop using EconoGlance and delete your account at any time (see Data deletion). We may suspend or end your access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, or where required by law, and will give notice where reasonable.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Lahore have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will post the new version here with a new date, and give notice of material changes in the app or by email. Questions? Email support@econoglance.com.

App Store & Google Play compliance

EconoGlance is built and operated to comply fully with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines and with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and Developer Distribution Agreement.

This includes, without limitation, their requirements on: privacy and data handling (Apple Guideline 5.1 and Google Play's User Data policy and Data safety disclosures); account and data deletion (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play's account-deletion requirement — see our Data deletion page); auto-renewable subscriptions (Apple Guideline 3.1.2 and Google Play's subscription policies); App Tracking Transparency (we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and use no advertising identifiers or third-party ad SDKs); and children's privacy.

We are committed to 100% compliance with these programs. If any part of the app or these documents is ever found not to meet a store requirement, we will promptly correct it and bring the app into full compliance.
