Delete your data

Delete your EconoGlance account and all associated data any time, in the app (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account) or by emailing support@econoglance.com. You don't need to reinstall the app. Requests are completed within 30 days.

1. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your EconoGlance account and all associated personal data at any time, either from inside the app or by asking us. You do not need to reinstall the app or sign in again to make a request from this page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

This page is EconoGlance's account-deletion resource for the purposes of Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and the Google Play account-deletion requirement. It is publicly accessible at econoglance.com/legal/data-deletion.

2. Delete in the app

The fastest way is from the app itself:

  • Open EconoGlance and go to Profile → Settings → Account.
  • Tap Delete account.
  • Confirm. Your account and personal data are removed from our systems.

3. Request deletion by email

Prefer to ask us, or can't access the app? Email support@econoglance.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account and data". We verify the request is genuinely yours, then delete your data within 30 days and email you to confirm. There is no charge.

4. What is deleted

When you delete your account, we remove:

  • Your profile: email, display name, avatar and preferences.
  • Groups you own, and their expenses and settlements.
  • Expenses, notes and receipt images you added.
  • Any payment method labels or handles you saved.

5. What may be retained, and for how long

We retain only what the law requires, and only for as long as necessary. This may include limited records relating to a purchase (for tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes), which are then deleted. Purchase and billing records held by Apple or Google for App Store or Google Play transactions are governed by their own policies, and you can manage those with Apple or Google directly.

6. Expenses shared with a group

If you logged expenses in a group that still exists and is used by other people, those expense entries may remain so the group's shared balances stay correct. In that case your name is shown as "(removed)" and no other personal data about you is kept. If you want an expense removed entirely, ask the group's owner to delete it, or contact us.

7. Timeframe

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Email requests are completed within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will email you once your data has been deleted.

App Store & Google Play compliance

EconoGlance is built and operated to comply fully with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines and with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and Developer Distribution Agreement.

This includes, without limitation, their requirements on: privacy and data handling (Apple Guideline 5.1 and Google Play's User Data policy and Data safety disclosures); account and data deletion (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play's account-deletion requirement — see our Data deletion page); auto-renewable subscriptions (Apple Guideline 3.1.2 and Google Play's subscription policies); App Tracking Transparency (we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and use no advertising identifiers or third-party ad SDKs); and children's privacy.

We are committed to 100% compliance with these programs. If any part of the app or these documents is ever found not to meet a store requirement, we will promptly correct it and bring the app into full compliance.
